Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This policy describes what information is handled when you read workforpie.com, how the operator uses it and what choices you have. The operator is the person or organisation running Workforpie, and the words we and us refer to the operator.
What servers record when you visit
When a page of Workforpie is delivered, the server normally keeps a log entry. It can contain your IP address, the time of the request, the page asked for, the browser and device type and the address of the page that sent you. We use these records to keep the site available, to investigate errors and abuse, and to see in broad terms whether articles on hiring, startup careers or remote work are being read.
Cookies and similar technology
The site may set cookies or use similar storage in your browser. A few keep basic features such as layout or a saved preference working. Others, where enabled, count visits, support advertising or note which link led you to a recruiting tool or remote work service so that affiliate attribution works. Anything set by an outside provider is handled under that provider’s own privacy notice, which we do not control.
Controls in your browser
You can delete or block cookies in your browser, browse privately or add extensions that limit tracking. If your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we will treat it as an opt-out where the tools we use are able to honour it. Blocking certain cookies may change how some parts of Workforpie behave.
Email and form submissions
If you write to [email protected], we receive your address and anything you decide to include. We use it to read your message, reply, check a correction and keep a record of the exchange. Because this is a site about careers, we ask that you leave out CVs and employment records. Your email is never sold, and we would ask your permission before quoting it anywhere.
Newsletters
If Workforpie offers a newsletter or sign-up form, the details you give are used for that purpose, for example delivering the updates you asked for. Any issue sent will carry a way to opt out, and a plain email asking to be removed works just as well.
Outside services behind the site
A site like this leans on outside services to function. These can include hosting and content delivery, audience analytics, advertising or affiliate networks, and embedded material such as videos, social posts or job-market charts. To work, they may receive technical details about your visit, and they operate under their own privacy terms.
Retention
Raw visit logs are held for a short period, after which they are erased or boiled down to figures that identify nobody. Emails stay in the inbox while they help us answer you, fix an article or meet a legal duty, and are removed once that need has passed.
Asking about your information
Depending on your location, the law may let you ask which personal details we hold, request a correction or deletion, object to particular uses, or take back a consent you gave. To make a request, email [email protected] and say what you want done. We may ask for proof that the request is yours before acting, and we will answer within the time the applicable law allows.
Children
Workforpie is written for adults who are working or planning to work, and it is not directed at children under 13. No personal information is sought from young children on purpose. If a child has emailed us, let us know and we will erase the message.
Security
Protection measures include encrypted connections to the site and restricting who can open the mailbox. No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed safe, so we cannot promise complete protection.
Data moving between countries
Providers behind the site may handle data in countries other than your own, where the rules can differ. By using Workforpie you accept that information about your visit may travel in this way.
Updates to this policy
We may revise this policy when the site, its providers or the law change. The effective date at the top shows when this version started, and continuing to read Workforpie after an update means you accept the revised text.
